Would You Micro-Needle Your Vagina? Let's Talk

Let’s talk about vulva rejuvenation. Vaginal laxity can be caused by aging, hormonal changes, and vaginal childbirth. Some women with vaginal laxity experience loss of sensation, urinary incontinence, and other symptoms that affect overall wellness (and sexual desire).

I want to share my experience with a noninvasive treatment called Votiva combined with Morpheus8 RF microneedling. It’s literally a makeover for your vulva that’s safe and has minimal downtime.

Votiva (which combines heat, radiofrequency, and external fractional treatment) is an effective non-surgical treatment for vaginal rejuvenation. It helps to reverse not only the aesthetic but also the functional changes of aging from the inside out. It helps stimulate collagen and elastin, and I believe this is the true path to anti-aging and better skin function. This treatment combined with Morpheus8 RF microneedling helps create new collagen, which gives the tissue its strength, produces elastin, and helps with the formation of new blood vessels, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the skin. Those benefits, along with restoring moisture and normalizing vaginal pH, aid in better vaginal health and increased vaginal sensations.

With my experience, I noticed I felt tighter and had an increase in sensation after just one session. By the third session, I almost didn’t recognize my vagina. I looked and felt brand new, and I continue to see and feel the results as weeks have passed.

Also, women who suffer from stress incontinence (due to laxity) may no longer leak after everyday activities, including sneezing or jumping. While incontinence can be from a pelvic floor with too much laxity, it can also be from one that is too tight. If you are not sure if this treatment is suitable for you, please consult your doctor to ensure your pelvic floor is not already overly tight.

In addition to this treatment, I am an advocate for pelvic floor training for all women. Whether your pelvic floor is too tight, too loose, or just right, you will benefit from doing a program for better tone, elasticity, sensation, and overall function. I recommend Courtney Virden’s online programs because, even with this treatment, you will need to train your pelvic floor to experience continued benefits and strength.

Often, women shy away from publicly sharing details about their vaginal appearance or health—simply put, talking about your vagina is not like talking about your skin or nails to most. The reality is, as women age, their bodies change because of pregnancy and childbirth, hormones, lifestyle, and age.

Taking care of your pelvic floor and vaginal area is important for all women.

This quote perfectly expresses my experience and beliefs on Votiva. “At La Belle Vie MedSpa and Wellness Center, we use Votiva, a safe and effective treatment that addresses the internal and external changes that happen to our vaginas. Votiva helps to tighten the pelvic floor, alleviates urinary incontinence, tightens the vaginal cannel to improve sensation during sex, and helps to reshape the look of the labia (aka your lips). All these benefits in about an hour without significant surgery,” Jenapher Moguel, the spa’s founder and CEO, shares.

So while you might be taking great care of your skin and body, consider this a healthy reminder to also pamper your pelvic floor and vagina.
